Image Filters & Rotate

Adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, grayscale, sepia and blur of an image, then rotate or flip it and save the result as PNG.

Drop or choose a file; settings change the result instantly.

Your files and input never leave your browser – nothing is uploaded.

Select an image to edit or drag it here
Any image your browser can open. The result is saved as PNG.

A phone photo of a whiteboard comes out grey, and the marker lines fade into the wall. Raise the contrast, pull the saturation down, and the lines come back. These image filters do this kind of small repair in the browser: six sliders, three transform buttons and a PNG file at the end.

Six sliders with fixed ranges

Brightness, contrast and saturation run from 0% to 200% and start at 100%. Grayscale and sepia run from 0% to 100%. Blur runs from 0 to 20 px. The preview changes while you drag.

Edit a photo in five steps

  1. Drop an image on the upload area, or click the area to pick a file.
  2. Move the sliders until the preview looks right.
  3. Press Rotate 90° to turn the picture clockwise. Use Flip horizontally or Flip vertically to mirror it.
  4. Press Reset to start again. This also undoes rotation and flips.
  5. Press Save edited image. The browser downloads filtered-image.png. New image returns you to the upload area.

Rotate first, flip second

The tool turns the canvas and then mirrors it. After one 90° turn, Flip horizontally mirrors along the original horizontal axis of the photo. On screen, this looks like a vertical flip. If a flip seems to go the wrong way, count how often you pressed Rotate 90°. Four presses bring the picture back to its start.

Four recipes to start from

  • Whiteboard photo: more contrast, less saturation.
  • A faded print for a poster or a blog header: sepia near 60% and brightness a little below 100%.
  • Soft background behind text: blur of 8 to 12 px.
  • Colour logo for a print mockup. Set grayscale to 100%, because a lower value keeps part of the colour.

Large PNG files, and nothing uploaded

The output is always a PNG at the full pixel size of the original. A 12 MB JPEG can grow to 20 MB or more. For a small file, compress the result afterwards.

There is no crop, no free-angle rotation and no JPEG output. Blur counts pixels of the original, so the same value looks weaker on a 4000 px photo than on a 600 px icon. An animated GIF is saved as one still frame. The sliders need the canvas filter feature of the browser. If they change nothing, try another browser.

The browser reads the file on your device and draws it on a canvas. Moving a slider or saving the result sends no request, and the network panel of the developer tools shows this. The download is a file that the browser creates locally.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

The tool keeps the original pixel width and height and saves as PNG, which is lossless. The filters change the pixel values, so you cannot undo them in the saved file.
